[TRANS] 100309 Jejung To Co-Star In Japanese Drama With Top Actress

Jejung (24) from popular group <Tohoshinki> will be acting in a Japanese drama.

On the 9th, Sankei Sports and other Japanese main media reported that Tohoshinki’s Jejung will have his Japanese drama debut in the drama “Sunao ni narenakute” (T/N: I can’t be honest with myself) (Fuji TV), which starts in April.

“Sunao ni narenakute” is a youthful drama that depicts the friendship between men and women who met through Twitter. Broadcasting every Thursday, 10pm, this drama co-stars Juri Ueno and Eita from “Nodame Cantabile”, which also enjoyed high popularity in Korea. Jejung made his screen debut in “Heaven’s Postman” by Eriko Kitagawa.

Jejung plays the role of a Korean doctor who works as a medicinal equipment maker, Eita plays the role of a novice photographer and Juri Ueno plays the role of a part-time lecturer in a private high school, and they meet through Twitter.

This drama will be his first work where he challenges it using Japanese and he said, “I’m nervous because this is a different field of work but I want to face this challenge and have fun shooting it with the cast.”

The producer for this drama, Nakano Toshiyuki, expressed his expectations, “Jejung’s presence is overwhelming. He has the necessary characteristics to be a new, youthful icon” and “there will be a great chemical reaction between the co-stars”.
